The first Iranian Psychoanalysis and dynamic psychotherapy congress was held by Iranian psychiatric association from 19th to 21th Mehr 1393 in Tehran, which was the first conference covering social, cultural, psychoanalysis, and psychotherapy features for the purpose of gathering the psychoanalysts, analytical psychotherapists and interested therapists from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds and focused on the effects of social and cultural differences on the formation of tissue among analytical minds and unconscious conflict. Dr Mohammad Sanati was hosting this congress. The scientific secretaries were Dr Mohammad Sanati, Dr Babak Roshanaeemoghadam and Glenn Mowbray, Horst Kachele and Roberta Bergman were the speakers of the congress.
The second Iranian Psychoanalysis and dynamic psychotherapy congress titled as “the courage to live with the other, psychoanalytic antidote for the culture of thanatos, aggression and intolerance” was held by Iranian psychiatric association from 19th to 21th Aban 1395 in Tehran. The purpose of the second congress was to create an atmosphere for the Psychoanalyst and psychotherapist interested in analytical thinking to negotiate about courage to live, so as to alternate a psychoanalytic antidote for death, aggression and intolerance with war. Dr Mohammad Sanati was hosting the congress. Dr Mehrdad Eftekhar was the scientific secretary and Dr Amirhossein Jalalinodoushan was the executive secretary and Donald Carveth, Jeremy Holmes and Cesar Alfonso were keynote speakers of the second congress.
